After working as a Research Fellow of the Japan Science and Technology Corporation (JST) and as an assistant professor, lecturer, and associate professor in the Department of Materials Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo, she has been a professor in the Department of Bioengineering, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo since 2011. She specializes in electrochemistry, biointerfaces, and biomaterials.

After graduating from Waseda University, joined Toray Industries, Inc. Participated in the company's first pharmaceutical product launch project as a product manager. Contributed to business alliances with domestic and foreign companies and to the search for new themes for medical device development in the U.S. Led out-licensing of medical devices in Europe. After returning to Japan, concentrated on business development and planning for pharmaceutical and medical device then moved to Toray Medical, Inc. where he was in charge of medical device sales strategy and business planning as an executive officer. Invited researcher at Waseda University and Tokai University.
After graduating from the University of Tokyo, he joined Johnson & Johnson K.K. he later moved to Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting LLC, where he primarily worked on market access and regulatory projects for pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. He was seconded to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, where I gained experience in policy planning for basic medical device plans, insurance-related tasks, and COVID-19 response activities. He is currently serving as a Medical Device Commercialization Promotion Advisor at the Kobe Biomedical Innovation Cluster.

Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Science, Osaka University. Earned a total of six awards at domestic and international conferences and was selected as a Research Fellow for Young Scientists (DC1) by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science during his Ph.D. course. Specialized in protein function, biophysical chemistry, and biomolecular spectroscopy at Osaka University. After graduation, joined Dow Chemical Japan, where he developed silicone-related materials in the Product Development Department. Currently, in charge of product development and evaluation at Gel Coat Biomaterials.
Ph.D. in chemistry from Kyoto University. After working for Sumitomo Metal Industries, Ltd. and as a visiting scientist at the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, University of Massachusetts, he led R&D at Dow Corning and Dow Chemical as an R&D Fellow, particularly for silicone resin chemistry and material design for advanced applications such as optical materials. His contributions in academia include teaching at Kyoto University and Gunma University, and he is currently a fellow of the Society of Polymer Science, Japan and an advisor to the Society of Silicon Chemistry Japan.

After completing his graduate studies at the University of Tokyo (Department of Medical Science), he was in charge of bioengineering research and development at a national research institute.
His graduate studies included analysis of immune cell composition of genetically engineered mouse tumors and verification of pseudo-organ environment construction using 3D cultured organoids. At the National Institute, he was engaged in structural analysis of proteins in vivo and development of measurement methods. Currently he leads the animal and cell experiments in hydrogel applications. He specializes in molecular biology, tumor immunology, biochemistry, cell and animal experiments, and flow cytometry.
After working in sales and sales support at Teijin Limited, she worked as an office professional at universities and is currently in charge of back office. She has experience in setting up the back office of several biotech ventures, including Gel Coat Biomaterials.
